Official Plans (OP)
As we work across most of Central and Eastern Ontario, NEA staff are familiar with the various environmental policies of local and county official plans. Development in or adjacent to environmental protection areas, watercourses, woodlands and wetlands can trigger the need for completion of an Environmental Impact Study (EIS). NEA has completed numerous EIS reports that comply with the requirements under the Official Plans and the specific policy sections.
Municipal Zoning Bylaw
Municipal zoning by-law amendments (minor variances, lot line adjustments, and change in zoning) can result in a requirement for an Environmental Impact Study (EIS). NEA can prepare an EIS based on the specific requirements and for any size of project.
