Targeted Species at Risk Plant Surveys
NEA expert botanists conduct targeted Species at Risk (SAR) plant surveys to locate provincially SAR plant species and their habitats. SAR plants such as American ginseng are found in specific and sensitive habitats and are often difficult to find.
NEA understands the provincial and federal conservation policies that are in place to protect these sensitive plant species. We will provide mitigation measures for the Species at Risk plant. Our services include conservation measures such as plant relocation and habitat protection. We are experienced in coordinating our conservation efforts with various governmental agencies and will assist you with permitting requirements that arise as a result of finding rare plants on your project site.
Locations of SAR plants are sensitive and this information is kept confidential and shared only with the appropriate agencies.
