NEA staff conduct many types of targeted surveys for Species at Risk using established protocols from provincial and federal agencies and digital recording devices.

These types of surveys usually involve detailed searches at specific times of day.

Targeted species include loggerhead shrikes, eastern whip-poor-will, bobolink, eastern meadowlark, Blanding’s turtle, western chorus frog, eastern hog-nosed snake and many others.
